Fusion Parenting

Fusion parenting started with a group of Mums who met on a parenting forum.  We have different numbers and ages of children, live in different places, have different backgrounds and parenting goals.

What we have in common is that we are passionate about our parenting, and this is our forum to reflect on and explore different parenting issues.

I live with my husband and two beautiful girls in Tennant Creek, about 500km north of Alice Springs.  Our eldest is three and a half, the little one just turned one.  Before kids I was a secondary science and maths teacher in remote schools, now I am a SAHM.  I run a hobby business sewing modern cloth nappies.

About 570km from Deb at Tennant Creek is a small community called Atitjere.  That’s where I am writing from!  My little girl is almost 20 months old and has severe developmental delays due to seizures.  She is also unfortunately extremely cute and suffers from constant kisses and cuddles.  I have a degree in Learning Management and a major in Early Childhood.  At the moment I am an arts manager but I am slowly moving back into my true field.  I travel around a lot and miss my husband who mostly lives in Alice Springs!

I live with my partner and 2 children in Perth, Western Australia. My oldest is a little girl who just turned 3, and my youngest is a boy who is 14 months old. Both are the light of my life and I treasure every moment with them. Before my children arrived I was a speech pathologist working in Early Intervention as part of a multi-disciplinary team working with children with Autism. Now I am largely a SAHM however I do offer home support to families of children under 6 who have Autism and love both of my “jobs”

I live in Brisbane with my husband, our almost-two-year-old son, and a Cat of Very Little Brain. I trained as an opera singer at university, but my days are currently filled by motherhood and volunteer work. I tinker with computers, I drink too much coffee, and my craft habits are varied and changeable. I wear a lot of black, and I own a top hat.

I live with my husband and 18 month old daughter in rural WA after leaving the city and all its trappings behind us over a year ago. I am a teacher with a background in psychology and language development. I’m also a Baha’i and this is where my passion for parenting and children receives its biggest inspiration. I love baking, walking in the bush, taking photos and enjoying the slower pace of life in the country.

I live with my wife and four children, aged between nine years and ten months, in Canberra. I’ve loved science since I was a kid and apparently if you meet me it’s obvious that I work in IT.  I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, almost to a fault. I’m more than a bit scruffy.

I live with my husband who is an incurable potterer, my 17  month old son who is irrespressibly gorgeous and our fur child, a snow dog who adores her ‘little brother’. In my pre baby life I was a teacher with a speciality in Early Childhood but am now embracing life as a SAHM. My days are spent avoiding housework, reading with my little boy, making beautiful messes with paints and felt tips and photographing all things in between. I am passionate about children’s rights and gentle parenting and I love purple.

I live with my husband and gorgeous almost 2 year old daughter in suburban Sydney. I graduated from uni (Liberal Studies)  just before giving birth, and since then have been a SAHM with occasional volunteer work and tutoring. I’m still studying, but informally. My name means stars, hence my username.
